Hiding Club Memberships (Affinity Groups)

Enhanced Student Membership Privacy Features in Club Hub



At Club Hub, we understand the importance of student privacy. We have collaborated closely with students and administrators to ensure that sensitive information, particularly in affinity group memberships, is protected. Here are the key privacy options available:

Note: Administrators and College/Academic Advisors can always view all student memberships, regardless of the settings chosen.

Hide Members for Specific Clubs (recommended)



For greater privacy in sensitive clubs, such as affinity groups, administrators can choose to hide the members list for individual clubs.

The visibility options include:

Everyone (default): Anyone in the school can view the club members.
Club Members and Leaders Only: Only members and leaders can view the member list. Those who haven't joined or are waiting for approval cannot view the members.
Club Leaders Only: Only club leaders can see the members, even the members themselves cannot see the list.

Setup Instructions:


Select the club you want to edit.
Click on the three dots in the top right corner and select Edit Settings.
Choose the appropriate membership visibility option:



Make All Memberships Private Across the School



Administrators can configure Club Hub to hide the members list from all students, except for club leaders. This means that students can only view the club leaders, while only the club leaders themselves can access the full member list.

Setup Instructions:


As an administrator, go to the Settings page.
Select School Settings.
Scroll down to the following option:



Check "Yes" to hide the membership list and click Update Settings.

Individual Student Membership Privacy



Students have the option to control who can view their membership details when they join a club. This gives them the flexibility to manage their own privacy settings.

Steps to Edit Membership Visibility:


The student goes to the desired club on Club Hub.
Click the button with three dots in the top right corner.
Select Membership Visibility:



Depending on the club's setup, students will see one of the following membership visibility options:

If new members need to be approved: Options are Everyone or Club Leaders Only.
If new members don't need to be approved: Additional option Nobody will be available.
